Buffalo Milk Baked Brie with Maple & Thyme

A molten, golden, utterly irresistible centrepiece for any table. This recipe pairs your buffalo brie with warm maple syrup, fresh thyme, and a little crunch on top. It’s effortless, elegant, and guaranteed to disappear fast.

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel buffalo milk brie

  • 2–3 tbsp pure maple syrup

  • 1–2 tsp fresh thyme leaves

  • 1–2 tbsp chopped pecans or walnuts (optional but delicious)

  • Cracked black pepper

  • Bread or crackers to serve

Method

1. Prep the brie

Preheat your oven to 180°C. Place the brie in a small oven‑safe dish or on a lined baking tray.

Score the top of the rind with a sharp knife, just a light crosshatch to help the flavours seep in.

2. Add the toppings

Drizzle the maple syrup over the top. Scatter thyme leaves and nuts (if using). Finish with a little cracked pepper.

3. Bake until molten

Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the brie feels soft in the centre when gently pressed.

Don’t overbake; you want gooey, not collapsed.

4. Serve immediately

Bring it straight to the table while it’s warm and melty. Dip, scoop, spread… repeat.

This buffalo milk baked brie is the kind of dish that makes entertaining feel effortless. A few ingredients, a quick bake, and suddenly you’ve got a centrepiece that feels indulgent without any fuss.
